Bottles

The land embraced — essence in a bottle.

A year in the life of San Giuseppe. Words, colours, taste: ruby stanzas of wine Each vintage versed in a new language. Come, stroll through the vines, climb this hill of slate. Sit here, under the oak, in the shade. “It’s hot today,” says Zia Diamante. Here’s the picnic basket—a piece of pizza, a plum, a bottle of Brunello. Drink it up, the world in a bottle, then tell me a story.

A glass of wine is an act of joy.

To make it breathe, before tasting it, you can uncork the bottle 20 minutes in advance, with the notable exception of our Brunello 2010, a wine so intense that it needs to be opened many hours earlier. The choice of the glass is important: we only use the Burgundy type.

A very hot year. The hot wind of August forced us to take action in the vineyard with scissors to clean the grape bunches grain by grain, eliminating the dried grapes. A Machiavellian work carried out even during the night with the use of lamps. The result is a fluid and introverted wine.

The first Brunello that tought us that Sangiovese can be fluid and relaxed. Another vintage characterized by a paradox: the quantity of grapes was proportional to their quality.

An agronomically complete year, with four consistent and defined seasons. An ideal premise for the first Brunello di San Giuseppe, it gave birth to a firstborn child that is a bit spoiled and for which it is extravagant.

Rosso di Montalcino

The dry and hot summer that preceded the harvest gave it a scent of tanned skin and horse saddle.
